Randine Dodson is an oil painter in Tucson, Arizona. She specializes in landscapes and skyscapes representing the mystery of the spirit of God and the essence of those moments when we become aware of interaction with the Divine. Her landscapes have roots in naturalism and expressionism with dynamic relationships between form and color.
Originally from Santa Monica, CA, she studied at UCLA and Otis College of Design in extension classes before moving to Tucson in 2013.
Her most influential art heroes are Richard Diebenkorn, Joan Eardley, Manny Farber, Rick Bartow, Terry DeLapp, Pierre Bonnard, Wolf Kahn, Fairfield Porter, Rich Bowman and James McNeill Whistler.
