I graduated from ASU and make photos, drawings, and prints. In my printmaking and drawings, I focus on layering and the use of heavy textures. Through abstraction, I make the viewer focus on the materiality of the object and delve into what happened to it. Sometimes my mark making is set to be random and I let the tool of time build the layers that push my forms into something more tangible. By experimenting with aleatoric processes, I formalize the coincidental and emphasize the conscious process of composition that is behind the seemingly random works.
With my photography, I explore my dreams and reproduce scenes or create a process that captures the same feeling as a dream. I also take inspiration in science, photographing personal moments created by means of rules and structure form a chaotic design.
